Exclusive | Claire Danes has found a buyer for her beautiful NYC home after 2 months on the market

The “Homeland” star is selling her New York home.

Claire Danes, the 45-year-old actress who has wowed screen audiences for decades, is in contract to sell her four-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom West Village home, according to a StreetEasy listing update.

The Danes — who, in addition to playing a CIA agent struggling with bipolar disorder in that thrilling Showtime series, also starred in the 1996 film Romeo + Juliet alongside Leonardo DiCaprio — listed the 3,890-square-foot mansion in early August for $9.75 million, The Post reported at the time. Right now, since the sale hasn’t closed yet, it’s not clear who is buying the property — or for how much.

The listing’s representative, Tamer Howard of the Corcoran Group, confirmed through a spokeswoman that the listing entered into a contract — but declined The Post’s request for comment on the deal.

Danes shares the townhouse with her husband, British actor Hugh Dancy, known for his roles in the TV series Hannibal and the play Apologia. They bought the mansion in 2012 for $6.87 million, according to city records. At that moment they were expecting their first son. In the years that followed, they had two more children.

Danes, a native New Yorker, grew up in Soho – and despite parting ways with this house, has no intention of parting ways with her hometown. She and Dancy just need more space as their children grow and some moving space for their extended family when they travel to New York, according to the New York Times — which first reported saw the listing news in August.

That’s not to say that this 19th-century Greek Revival nest, as it stands, is anything to be sniffed at.

During their ownership, Danes and Dancy modernized its interiors, working with Joan Krevlin, a founding partner of BKSK Architects. The result is nothing short of brilliant.

Krevlin opened up and brightened the spaces, focusing especially on the first floor. The work, which was generally thorough — and had Krevlin living in while the couple traveled for work — also included moving the kitchen from the front of the property to the back. The installation of a glass wall on one side of it, plus glass tiles on the ceiling, allowed natural light to flow inside.

Perks also include private outdoor spaces, like this lush hangout. Alejandro Leon / DD Representatives

The images listed also show interiors that look straight out of a design magazine. Behind a cherry-red front door facing the street, there’s an airy living area that opens up to a lush outdoor patio. There’s also good space for a large dining table, a home office that’s tucked away behind sliding doors, a wet bar with built-in bookshelves and beautifully restored fireplaces throughout.

Upstairs, there’s more private outdoor space, thanks to a roof terrace. It has an outdoor kitchen, a pizza oven, and views that stretch downtown to One World Trade.
